Salvatore Esposito, 32, a native of Italy, has been cooking all his life. His entire family knows how to cook, it seems, and together they run Palace Pizza with several locations in Lakeland and a new restaurant at 105 E. Main St. in Bartow, which Esposito and his brother Mike opened a year ago. "I love Bartow. I love the people. I used to live in a small town like this where everybody knows everybody. I want to retire here," said Esposito.
What's your best dish? My lasagna. Everybody says they like it.

Does it have any secret ingredients? Love. Make sure you make food with love. Otherwise, don't make it all.

How would you describe this restaurant? It's a piece of Italy, with music playing and tables outside.

What do you like to do when you're not working? Ride my motorcycle. I love it. I feel free on it. My daughter's in love with it, too. She's got a little motorcycle in the garage.
